Dhikala Safari
Dhikala Zone is the primary Jungle Safari zone in Jim Corbett National Park where the forest authorities permit even for night stay within the reserve. This zone is primarily known for its dense forests, and wildlife, such as tigers, elephants, and a variety of bird species. It is that zone of Corbett where the chances of spotting the tigers are the highest. This is one of the reasons why tourists do not get permits to enter into this zone. However, the zone doesn’t allow tourists to go on Jeep Safari in Dhikala Zone during the day.
Interested tourists can also enjoy the opportunity to stay within the forest at the government-owned Forest Rest Houses. Only the guests staying at the FRH are allowed to go on the Jeep Safari. The entry to this zone is through the Dhangari Gate and the zone is a pristine one where tourists can explore nature while introspecting their soul, mind, and body. Dhikala Safari zone provides the most intuitive landscape of the Jim Corbett where you can find dense areas with Sal trees, grasslands, and several streams of Ramganga River.
